MOTT HAVEN - A Bronx woman is fighting for her life after being struck at one of the borough's more dangerous intersections.

The woman was rushed to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition after the accident near East 138th Street and Saint Ann's Avenue. She was found pinned underneath a 10-wheel truck. 

Residents say the crossroads have proven dangerous not only because of the sheer volume of traffic, but because the area is highly commercial. Just last month, a man was killed by a truck at the same intersection. 

According to the Department of Transportation (DOT), there are multiple yield signs in the area, but officials say they've yet to receive any complaints. The DOT also says the NYPD is responsible for dispatching crossing guards.
