A doe has been freed after being stuck on her back for 18 hours between a PVC fence and a concrete wall.
The Strong Island Animal Rescue received a call from a homeowner in Port Jefferson Station about the doe.
Rescuers had to saw part of the fence and pull apart the slats in order to free her.
The deer was very wobbly after being stuck upside down, but took off down Huron Street after 20 minutes.
