Reviews of the new Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge are coming in as more Westchester and Hudson Valley drivers travel over the new span.
As News 12 has reported, the new bridge opened to Rockland-bound traffic over the weekend. Westchester-bound traffic will remain on the old Tappan Zee Bridge until the fall.
"At night it's absolutely beautiful, the lights are amazing," says Christopher Kiewiet, of Tarrytown.
Some people not only saw the bridge, but took a piece of it home as well.
"It's incredible. It is real heavy, this metal piece and it has the bridge inscribed in it, and it is just a work of art," says Diane Magri-Fraser, of Tarrytown. "It's gorgeous."
