THE BRONX - Thousands of years before congestion and concrete settled in, the Bronx was a forest.

Jessica Schuler, director of the Thain Family Forest at the New York Botanical Garden, gave News 12 The Bronx a tour of the forest that provides a link to the Bronx’s past.

Tour guides are available to take visitors through the forest.
