Bronx company Niles Advertising works on Super Bowl gear
THE BRONX - Some of the official Super Bowl gear that's being handed out for the big games has a tie to the Bronx.
Wendell Niles runs his business, Niles Advertising, from his Parkchester home office. He applied for a Super Bowl Host Committee program called "Business Connect," which invites local, minority-owned businesses to work on things like designs and graphics for the big game.
Niles was accepted, and he worked on some of the banners that are being featured in Super Bowl events leading up to the big game. He also worked on business cards that will be handed out to both fans and volunteers for the Super Bowl.
Niles has operated his business since 2007, and he employs his three sons. Thanks to the Super Bowl's business, he's now looking to expand.
