1 child, 2 adults dead in Belmont fire

THE BRONX - Fire officials say one child and two adults died in an early morning fire on Prospect Avenue in Belmont.

Neighbors say the victims are a mother, father and 12-year-old son.

Four other people and four firefighters suffered minor injuries, according to fire officials.

More than 100 firefighters responded to the fire. Officials say the fire started on the second floor of the two-family house at around 3:30 a.m. It was brought under control about an hour later.
