Police say 64-year-old Jawaad Abdur-Rahman was standing near the guardrail examining his vehicle, which had been having trouble, when a woman driving a white Infinity struck him. The impact threw him over the guardrail and tumbling eight stories onto railroad tracks below. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Officials say a 38-year-old woman and a 3-year-old boy were in his car when the incident occurred.

The other driver suffered minor injuries and has not been charged.
