1 firefighter hurt in Mount Hope fire on Eastburn Avenue

The flames were quickly put out and contained to the third floor of the building. (March 21, 2014 2:33 PM)

One firefighter was taken to the hospital following a fire in Mount Hope.

Officials say it started on the third floor of 1769 Eastburn Ave. at around 11 a.m. Firefighters were able to contain the flames to the one floor and get it under control in about 30 minutes.

The injured firefighter was taken to Jacobi Medical Center with minor injuries.
