1 hurt in shooting outside Bronx courthouse

THE BRONX - Several shots were fired outside the Bronx Criminal Courthouse Thursday morning, wounding one person and sending dozens fleeing for cover.

Witnesses say four men who were performing community service on 161st Street got into an altercation shortly before 11 a.m. One of the men allegedly hit another with a bottle, and that's when witnesses say they heard someone shout, "shoot him."

Several shots rang out, striking one person. His condition is unknown. Witnesses say all four men were taken into custody.
