MOUNT EDEN - One suspect is in custody after a woman was stabbed to death in what police are calling a domestic dispute.

Police say Toriba Henriquez, 35, was killed by a man she was in a relationship with at their apartment on Walton Avenue. Neighbors say Henriquez had orders of protection against him and he stayed away for six months until he moved back in with her last month.

Neighbor Victor Salva says other tenants tried stepping in to help Henriquez when she was being attacked, but were unable to get the suspect to stop.

Henriquez, who neighbors say was a mother of two, was pronounced dead on arrival at Lincoln Hospital. Police confirmed they took the suspect into custody.
