THE BRONX - An undercover sting has landed 14 people behind bars on illegal gun trafficking charges, including 10 suspects from The Bronx.
According to an indictment, 54 illegal firearms were seized in an investigation that centered on Bronx man Reinaldo Romero and nine other suspects from the area. Officials say Romero was selling guns out of a Soundview barbershop that he once owned.
Authorities also discovered more than 85 illegal weapons in another sting operation that nabbed four other suspects.
Many of the suspects are charged with possession of an illegal firearm, which is a felony that carries a maximum of 25 years behind bars.
