THE BRONX - Federal investigators have arrested 11 suspects from the Bronx in connection with an elaborate drug ring that pumped thousands of pounds of marijuana into the city for more than two decades.

Officials say the arrests are the culmination of a 18-month investigation, dubbed 'Green Venom.' A total of 50 men were taken into custody, with 11 suspects from the Bronx.

The men are accused of a long list of charges, including criminal drug possession, intent to distribute large quantities of drugs and weapons and conspiracy charges. Investigators said they seized large amounts of marijuana, over $100,000 in cash and four firearms.

Authorities say the ring stretched from California and Florida to New York and they are still hunting for five more suspects.
