THE BRONX - Authorities have taken down 11 suspected members of the "6 Wild" gang in a string of violent home invasion robberies in the Bronx.
The men used social media sites, including Facebook, to brag about the hauls of cash and drugs they collected during the crimes, according to prosecutors. Police say the gang's headquarters is located in Morrisania, and that they used adjacent apartment buildings on Findlay Avenue to stash money, weapons and drugs.
Officers from the 44th Precinct and the Special Narcotics Prosecutor's Office used photos and comments posted online by the suspects in order to build their case.
