12-year-old dies after crash on Bruckner

THROGS NECK - A 12-year-old girl has died after a traffic accident that may have been caused by an underage driver.

Police say Kaitlin Booth was ejected from an SUV that crashed through a fence on the Bruckner Expressway around midnight Monday. Booth was rushed to Jacobi Hospital where she later died.

The Bronx district attorney is investigating the case but has not confirmed if any charges will be brought against the 15-year-old driver who may have taken the family car out for a joyride.
