THE BRONX - A total of 16 people were hurt during a four-alarm residential fire in Country Club.

According to the fire chief, 10 civilians, including two children and six firefighters, all suffered minor injuries when flames broke out at 1020 Dean Ave. at around 9:30 a.m.

More than 150 firefighters responded, but had difficulty getting the blaze under control due to strong wind gusts.

The fire chief says the home will likely have to be demolished because the damage is so severe. A neighboring building was also damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but does not appear to be suspicious.
