161st Street BID hosts Stadium Gardens celebration

THE BRONX - The 161st Street Business Improvement District (BID) is hosting a garden party to celebrate the restoration of flower beds around Yankee Stadium.

Teenagers worked all summer on the Stadium Gardens between Gerard and Walton avenues. They now feature marigolds, mums and begonias.

The BID says it has a tentative agreement with the Department of Transportation (DOT) to manage the area.
