THE BRONX - A 19-year-old is facing charges after allegedly throwing her newborn baby down a garbage chute in the Bronx.

Ariel Devonish confessed to doctors that she gave birth prematurely at her apartment on West Farms Road. Medical examiners say the baby was stillborn and never took a breath.

Devonish is charged with a misdemeanor for unlawfully disposing of a human body.
