THE BRONX - Police arrested two Bronx men and two other suspects who police say were involved in a marijuana-growing operation in New Jersey.

On Thursday, authorities arrested Carlos Baez and Genny Delacruz, both of the Bronx, Freicy Batista-Matos, of Teaneck, N.J., and Manuel Ortega, of Brooklyn, following a joint investigation led by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Authorities say they seized more than 150 marijuana plants and drug paraphernalia, as well as two loaded semi-automatic handguns, from a New Jersey home allegedly rented by Batista-Matos.

The four suspects are facing multiple drug and weapons charges. They are being held on $100,000 bail each.
