Two police officers were injured after losing control of their cruiser on their way to a call and crashing into parked cars on East 137th

THE BRONX - Two police officers were injured after losing control of their cruiser on their way to a call and crashing into parked cars on East 137th Street Friday.

Officials say the officers were driving the wrong way on a one-way street when they slammed into four vehicles.

Lisa-Marie Gordils says the cruiser hit the car that she was supposed to receive for her 17th birthday in two weeks.

Eyewitnesses say the driver of the cruiser was taken to Lincoln Hospital in a neck brace. It remains unknown why he lost control.

The owners of the damaged vehicles say NYPD promised to compensate them.
