THE BRONX - Police are questioning two people in connection to a shooting that left a 15-year-old Bronx girl fighting for her life after she was hit in the head.

A family spokesperson says Vada Vasquez was caught in the crossfire at around 3:45 p.m. Monday on Home Street and the second victim of the shooting, 19-year-old Tyrone Creighton, was the intended target. Neighbors suspect the shooting was gang-related.

Anthony Williams, a former classmate of Vada's at Bronx Latin School, says she had no connection to Creighton.

Creighton was shot in the torso and leg and was hospitalized in stable condition. Doctors say Vasquez remains at Lincoln Hospital.
