2 officers injured in Kingsbridge car crash

Two officers were injured when their police car crashed into a pay phone and then pressed up against a wall near East 194th Street and

KINGSBRIDGE - Two officers were injured when their police car crashed into a pay phone and then pressed up against a wall near East 194th Street and Briggs Avenue.

Police say the officers were responding to a 911 call. Witnesses say the car swerved to avoid hitting pedestrians standing near the pay phone.

Both officers are at Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition.
