THE BRONX - A 2-year-old boy is in critical condition after police say he was struck by an SUV in The Bronx.

According to investigators, it happened on Taylor Avenue, near the Cross Bronx Expressway, at around 4 p.m. Tuesday. They say a 73-year-old woman behind the wheel remained on the scene and is not expected to face any charges.

The toddler is being treated at Jacobi Medical Center.
