THE BRONX - Nearly two dozen Bronx residents are now facing charges after authorities busted a gang operation.

Prosecutors say 23 members of the "Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation" and the "Black Stone Gorilla Gangstas" were arrested on Wednesday.

They say that most of the alleged gang activity took place in Castle Hill and Co-op City.

Police began their investigation, called "Operation Black Stone," last year.

The charges against the accused gang members include attempted murder, illegal possession of a weapon and the criminal sale of firearms and drugs.
