THE BRONX - A 25-year-old man was shot to death inside a Bronx apartment Thursday, according to police.

It happened around 4:15 a.m. inside a second-floor apartment building at 2466 Marion Ave. in Fordham.

Family of Carlos Alberto Vargas say he is a father of two little girls.

Neighbors at the scene say they heard three gunshots followed by screaming.

Police say they received a 911 call for an assault in progress, and when they got there they found the man with a gunshot wound to his face.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are searching for two suspects in their 20s, and say no arrests have been made.
