$2M Powerball winner from the Bronx gets lucky numbers from fortune cookie

THE BRONX - A fortune cookie has literally brought great fortune to a Bronx resident who won $2 million from a recent Powerball drawing.

Emma Duvoll says she plays the lotto nearly every week, using numbers that have special significance to her, such as birthdays and anniversaries. She says that this time she decided to use numbers that she found in a fortune cookie.

She says she got the fortune cookie at Sammy's Noodle Shop in the West Village. The lotto ticket was purchased upstate in Orange County.

Duvoll says that even though she has already won the lotto once, she will continue to play weekly.
