3-alarm fire erupts in Kingsbridge apartment building on Orloff Avenue

THE BRONX - Some Kingsbridge tenants were forced out of their homes after a three-alarm fire tore through their apartment building.

Flames erupted at around 7 a.m. inside 3840 Orloff Ave., at Cannon Place. The fire chief on scene says it started on the fifth floor and quickly spread up to the sixth, but only three units were damaged.

Firefighters had the blaze under control after about 20 minutes, and no injuries were reported.

The cause remains under investigation.
