3 arrests made in Valentine Ave. double-homicide

THE BRONX - Police now have three suspects in custody in connection to the murders of a mother and daughter last week in the Bronx.

Andrew Scott, 23, has been charged with two counts of murder after police say he killed his ex-girlfriend, 21-year-old Jana Randolph, and her 55-year-old mother Ida last week.

Joshua Lopez, 26, and Brittney Austin, 23, have also been arrested. They face charges of second-degree murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.

The two women were found dead Thursday night in their apartment at 2794 Valentine Ave. by a family member who had gone to check on them. The medical examiner concluded both women died of blunt trauma to the head.
