3 injured in 2 separate shootings in Morrisania and Williamsbridge

Police are investigating two separate shootings in the Bronx that left three men injured early this morning. The shootings happened in Morrisania and Williamsbridge.

THE BRONX - Police are investigating two separate shootings in the Bronx that left three men injured early this morning.

Investigators say two men were shot on Tinton Avenue in Morrisania just before 6 a.m. Police say one victim was grazed on the chest and arm and was treated at the scene. The second victim was shot in the chest and back and then suffered a heart attack. He was taken to Lincon Hospital, where he's expected to be OK.

The second shooting happened in Williamsbridge, where police say a man was shot in a drive-by shooting in front of 3491 Fenton Ave. Police say the suspect was in a black SUV. The victim is expected to be OK.

Anyone with information on the shootings is asked to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
