3 injured in Morrisania fire

THE BRONX - At least three people were sent to the hospital after a fire broke out in a section of homes in the Morrisania area of the Bronx at around 5:30 Friday morning.

The fire damaged several homes at 9-94 Tinton Ave. and took more than an hour to put out, fire officials say.

Neighbors say they believe squatters in the area are to blame for the fire.
