3 injured in police-involved crash

THE BRONX - Two police officers and another driver were injured in a car crash today involving a police car and an SUV.

Police say that two officers were responding to a call when they hit an SUV at the intersection of Willis Avenue and 147th Street.

Witnesses say that the police car had its emergency lights on when it entered the intersection on a red light.

Mille Santana, the driver of the SUV, said she tried to get out of the way of the officers, but couldn't.

Santana was treated for neck injuries at Lincoln Hospital. The two officers, whose identities were not released, were treated for minor injuries.
