32-year-old Willie Lopez stabbed to death inside hallway of Sheridan Ave. apartment complex in Claremont

THE BRONX - A man was stabbed to death in the hallway of his Claremont apartment building, according to police.

It happened just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday on Sheridan Avenue. 

Police say 32-year-old Willie Lopez was found unconscious inside the sixth-floor hallway of 1521 Sheridan Ave. with a stab wound to the chest.

Lopez was transported to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital where police say he was pronounced dead. 

They say no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
