THE BRONX - A weekend four-alarm blaze in Bedford Park has left several families without a home.

Officials were on the scene of 2860 Valentine Ave. trying to determine the cause of the fire.

Vacate orders have been posted on the affected buildings, displacing a total of 25 people, including six children, according to the American Red Cross.

Eight firefighters were hurt battling the flames, and another three civilians suffered minor injuries.

Officials say the Department of Buildings ordered the occupants of the residence out close to two weeks ago after discovering illegal conversions.
