THE BRONX - Students at four schools in the Bronx are getting one-on-one help to make smarter nutritional choices.

They took part in New York Junior Tennis & Learning and Emblem Health’s “Healthy Living” curriculum that launched in January.

Participants exercise, get lessons on nutrition and receive a laminated “bodega buddy” card that reminds them to make healthy choices at corner stores.

The program also engages parents with cost-effective steps and recipes.

Students in the program meet for three hours each week throughout the school year.
