4 hospitalized after fire ignites twice at Wheeler Ave. home

Four people were taken to Jacobi Medical Center with minor injuries after a fire ignited twice in the basement of a Wheeler Avenue home.

THE BRONX - Four people were taken to Jacobi Medical Center with minor injuries after a fire ignited twice in the basement of a Wheeler Avenue home.

Officials say the first call came in just before 11 p.m. Monday, and the fire was put out just after midnight.

At around 1:20 a.m. today, officials say it started smoking again. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
