THE BRONX - A new report states that the Department of Transportation has failed to repair more than one-third of bridge defects in a timely manner.

Allowing such delays could cause hazardous conditions, according to the report by the New York State Comptroller's Office.

The bridges affected are located on the West Tremont Avenue, Willlis Avenue, I-95, Morris Park Avenue and Bronx River Avenue crossings.
