1 dead, 4 hurt in Bronx crash

THE BRONX - One Bronx man is dead and four other people were injured in a crash early Sunday morning.

Police say the crash happened after 5 a.m. at Bronxwood Avenue and East 219th Street. 

Officials say two cars collided before slamming into three other unoccupied parked vehicles. The impact caused one of the vehicles involved to overturn.

Five people were taken to Jacobi Medical Center. Michael Rhone, 39, did not survive.

Two people remain in critical condition and the other two are stable.
