THE BRONX - Five NYPD officers were rushed to the hospital after a car crash in Bedford Park. 

According to investigators, two marked police cruisers from the 52nd Precinct collided at Bedford Park Boulevard and Briggs Avenue Sunday night. The vehicles were responding to a call at the time. 

All five officers were taken to Jacobi Medical Center with minor injuries. Three have since been released, but two others remain hospitalized. One suffered a fractured arm and tooth, while the other has a head injury and a fractured leg.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
