THE BRONX - Service on the '5' subway line was suspended today until about 2:30 p.m. between East 180th Street and East 149th and the Grand Concourse due to a broken rail.

The suspension caused major delays for Bronx residents who rely on the '5' train to get to work.

Instead, commuters were forced to pack onto the downtown platform at East 180th to wait for the '2' train.
