6 Bronx middle schools to extend school day

THE BRONX - Students from six Bronx middle schools will be spending more time in the classroom, starting in September.

The six schools are participating in a pilot program which will add two and a half hours of learning to the school day.

M.S. 223, Eagle Academy for Young Men, the Highbridge Green School, South Bronx Academy for Applied Media, Frederick Douglas Academy Middle School and J.H.S. 123 are all part of the program.
