THE BRONX - The seven New York State gubernatorial candidates squared off in a debate last night, hosted by News 12, Newsday and Hofstra University.

Many voters say they were expecting to see a debate centered around the two front-runners, Democratic candidate and current Attorney General Andrew Cuomo and Republican political newcomer Carl Paladino, but instead minor-party candidates stole the show.

Kristin Davis, of the Anti-Prohibition Party, and Jimmy McMillan, of the Rent is Too Damn High party, had the opportunity to voice their views on several issues, including the state budget and MTA.

While jabs didn't fly between Cuomo and Paladino, both Charles Barron, a Brooklyn City Councilman, and Libertarian candidate Warren Redlich were ready with questions aimed at the two.

Voters will cast their ballot in just two weeks on Nov. 2.

You can watch the complete debate on iO Extra channel 612.
