Police say the 75-year-old was walking at Soundview and Taylor avenues Monday night.

THE BRONX - An elderly man was struck and killed while trying to cross the street in the Bronx Monday night.

According to police, the 75-year-old was walking at Soundview and Taylor avenues at around 8 p.m. when he was hit. Witnesses say he had just walked out of a grocery store.

The victim's identity has not yet been released, pending family notification.

There is no word yet on if the driver involved will face any charges.
