8 Pelham Parkway fire victims out of hospital

THE BRONX - Eight of nine victims have been released from Jacobi Medical Center after a fire tore through a Pelham Parkway apartment Monday.

One of those victims is a baby who was rescued after dangling from a fifth-floor window.

The fire at 785 Pelham Parkway engulfed a fourth-floor apartment at about 2:15 p.m., fire officials say. The flames were so intense that one man jumped from the apartment and was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in serious condition.
