WAKEFIELD - Several young people are recovering from injuries after gunshots rang out at a house party in Wakefield.

Police are looking for Oneil DaSilva, 17, from Mount Vernon, in connection with the shooting.

The incident happened at 3:30 a.m. at 651 E. 221 St. Eight people were shot and several of the victims were teenagers.

Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. issued a statement denouncing the violence and has promised to continue to work to get illegal guns off the streets.
