THE BRONX - Bronx residents remembered victims of the Sept. 11 attacks today at an annual memorial service at 161st Street and the Grand Concourse.

While the 12th anniversary of Sept. 11 was earlier in the week, the Bronx borough president hosts the event days later so that family members of victims can attend services in Manhattan or spend the day privately.

At today’s ceremony, the names of the 143 Bronx residents who lost their lives were read aloud.

Gricel Zayas Moyer, who lost her son Manny on Sept. 11, says today was the first time she had enough courage to come down and participate in the event.

"It doesn't get any easier," she says. "In fact, I was telling my husband that I get even more depressed now that it's been a while ago. I think that I should be doing better and I find myself not doing so good."
