FORDHAM - At least nine people were injured and dozens of others were displaced after a massive fire early Friday in Fordham.

The FDNY says the flames broke out around midnight on Valentine Avenue.

A total of nine homes were affected by the flames, and officials say three of them were vacant. Nearly 90 people are now displaced.

News 12 is told nine people, including six firefighters, suffered minor injuries.

Displaced families were put into the care of the Red Cross, which arranged for hotels in Manhattan.

City Councilman Ritchie Torres says at least five of the damaged buildings will be demolished next month.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
