THE BRONX - A 9-year-old is clinging to life in the hospital after police say a teenage neighbor forced him to take a five-story plunge off the roof of their Morris Heights building.

According to authorities, 17-year-old Casmine Aska has been charged with attempted murder in the second degree after shoving Freddy Martin off a roof on Nelson Avenue Friday. Martin was rushed to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition with severe body trauma.

Many people are now questioning how the boys were able to get on the roof in the first place.

Martin's family says the young boy goes to a special needs school.
