Abandoned dog found in BX park is up for adoption

A dog that was found abandoned in Van Cortlandt Park is now up for adoption.

The ASPCA says a woman spotted the pit bull terrier mix tied to a tree in the park over the summer.

THE BRONX - A dog that was found abandoned in Van Cortlandt Park is now up for adoption.

The ASPCA says a woman spotted the pit bull terrier mix tied to a tree in the park over the summer.

The 6-year-old dog is now looking for a home. Its name is Tahini.

Tahini is healthy, according to the ASPCA, but needs medicine twice daily for a thyroid issue.
