MORRIS PARK - Three days after Sandy struck, nearly 37,000 Bronx residents remain without power.

With so much damage in Manhattan, some residents feel Con Edison is going to restore power to The Bronx last.

However, the utility says out of the 59,000 Bronx residents who have lost power since Sandy, 41 percent of that group has had power restored, the second highest response of all five boroughs.

Con Edison also said that it needs more time to respond to customers serviced by overhead equipment, which applies to all of The Bronx.

Con Edison reports that Bronx residents can expect to get power back no sooner than next Tuesday. Its strategy is to repair equipment that services the largest number of groups first.
