THE BRONX - The man accused of killing a missing Bronx woman appeared before a judge, just days after her remains were finally found.

Nasean Bonie was set to become the first person in state history to face murder charges without the recovery of a body, but that changed on Friday when authorities discovered 35-year-old Ramona Moore in Orange County.

Bonie showed little emotion in the courtroom as the district attorney told the judge that the remains were confirmed to be Moore, who has been missing since July 2012. He pleaded not guilty to murder and manslaughter charges back in 2013.

Officials say that an autopsy must be completed to determine the cause of death before the case proceeds.

Meanwhile, Bonie was also in court on an unrelated domestic violence charge involving his wife. He was sentenced to four years in prison and three years of post-release supervision.

Bonie will be back in court on May 27. The autopsy results are expected by then.
