THE BRONX - Local elected officials held free health care workshops today at North Central Bronx Hospital in an effort to educate the public on the upcoming changes brought forth by the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

Those seeking health care will be able to shop for insurance plans being offered at healthbenefitexchange.ny.gov on Oct. 1.

They will also be able to check eligibility for financial help from the government.

Two more health care workshops will be held at Lincoln and Jacobi hospitals over the next few months.
